On Friday, the 6th of February, at 20:00 hrs, we have yet another of our legendary Singers Nights. You definitely need to get there early to book your spot as Singers' Nights are very popular and slots are limited Alternatively; to be sure, it would be best to book a spot in advance by contacting Debby & Derry - contact details are on the website home page. And don't forget the revised timing, starts at 8.00pm sharp!

Then, on the 13th of February we are pleased to announce the return of the excellent Dave Ellis & Boo Howard. Dave & Boo are a London based acoustic duo with a musical partnership that began in 1979. Back in the ‘70’s Dave became a regular solo performer at well-known London venues such as the Marquee, the Roundhouse, and the Lyceum. He was listed as “one of the 6 best guitarists in the world” by Melody Maker and opened for many big names of the day including The Edgar Broughton Band at the Rainbow and Rod Stewart and Status Quo at Reading Festival. Boo joined on bass and vocals and the two became a solid songwriting team. In the early 2000s Dave and Boo developed an acoustic act which returned them to their folk club roots. The songs are at the heart of it all, served by imaginative and stylish arrangements and by the singing and playing of two seasoned, wholly in-tune musicians.

On the 20th of February, we have the return of one of the club’s old faithful stalwarts, namely Pete Kelly. As I’ve said before, you all know Pete, everybody knows Pete, he’s world famous from Tipton to Arizona and he might even bring along his pony, (although possibly not after the erm…..accident last time)! Pete has been delighting audiences both at the club, in other local venues and indeed further afield for many years now with his relaxed, easy style and long may he continue. A superb guitarist, a gifted songwriter, a friend and a long-time supporter of the club and all-round good egg. Welcome back Pete!

On the 27th February at 20:30hrs, we have a very special night! Brand-new to the club! Virginia Kettle and The Rolling Folk. Rolling Folk are: Virginia Kettle - singer/songwriter, guitarist, Clare 'Fluff' Smith - fiddle, vocals, Chris Lee - bass, mandolin, Mark Woolley - whistles, percussion, and John Kettle - guitars. This will be an unforgettable experience. Their performance effortlessly blends delicate, heartfelt moments with humour and infectious audience participation, creating an intimate and engaging atmosphere. Virginia’s songwriting shines, it is both tender, witty, and profoundly relatable. The band’s masterful musicianship adds depth and texture without ever overshadowing the songs themselves. Virginia Kettle's Rolling Folk, truly connects with the audience, inviting everyone to sing along, laugh, and reflect together. Oh, this is going to be a good'un!

Just a quick reminder: Both the bar, door and membership are cash only.
