(Review taken from Derry's Facebook Post) Following on with the trend of really special performances at The Woodman Folk Club, Will Morgan and Ian Dempsey-Robins, did an outstanding job! Will Morgan burst on to the Woodman FC stage surrounded by an incandescent aura of mega-musical mirth and merriment. If it wasn’t for the bountiful brilliant bass and accordion of Ian Dempsey-Robbins, using all of his skill and experience to anchor his highly expressive cohort to the beat, we would have had a major harmonic incident declared! The entertainment factor was so powerful, it could fuel a smile for a month and that is saying something in today’s political climate. Well done lads and thank you. The evening’s entertainment started much earlier however, with one of our favourite duo’s, Velvet Green. Velvet Green consists of Paul and Sue Matthews and are of course one of the Woodman stalwart acts. Delightful songs, beautifully presented and most of them offering up anthemic choruses for all of us to join in with, and we did just that. Excellent! Many thanks to our fantastic support people and teams that show up every week to do a sterling job. The Ashwood Marina staff as usual did a brilliant job keeping us all warm, fed, and watered.
