It was hot inside and outside, but it was cool calm and collected just as soon as the excellent Jim Reynolds and Hilary Pavey bathed us all in harmonious delights. Two outstanding musicians, songwriters and singers, Jim and Hilary started us off on a delightfully melodious and imaginative voyage, that took us out of the moment and into a wonderful world of top-quality Folk, Blues and ballads. Both Hilary and Jim excel in their artform, and luckily for us, they chose The Woodman Folk Club to do just that. Jim Reynolds and Hilary Pavey; We thank you.

The most excellent, Bryn Phillips leaped onto the Woodman stage, to enthusiastically launch into the hot summers’ night. Bryn has a repertoire consisting of a wealth of superb songs who’s subject matter ranges from soulful tragedies, industrial testament, political skulduggery, social injustice, hilariously sexy tech, to beyond earthly bounds. Each song is a gem and the most respected music professionals have adopted one or two of them for their own sets. You can’t get a better endorsement than that! Nice one!

MC Chris, (Chris Irving), was the madman with the mic that took charge and lifted the whole crowd, in readiness for the night’s activities. Ta mate. Mr Gary and Mr John B, did a grand job of capturing all things AV.
The Techy-up and Techy-down teams were right on the ball as ever.

Last, but definitely not least, the marvellous Ashwood Marina staff worked fantastically hard to keep us all fed and watered. They treat us like family and we love them for it.

Enjoy Yourself!
