(Review taken from Derry's Facebook Post) Plumhall burst onto the Woodman stage, fresh from finishing a resoundingly successful tour with the legendary Fairport Convention. Exploding onto the Woodman stage with an astounding surge of musical brilliance equivalent to a million-candle power. Remarkable song-writing skills, outstanding vocal prowess, energised acoustic rhythms and blistering lead riffs exuded from the stage, radiating out in to all corners of the room. Superb! Then, gentle, and graceful melodies with delightful harmony vocals wafted over us like a warm summer breeze. Ah. Then another marvellous musical high-energy burst, Ooh what a joy it was. Remember the name, Plumhall. If you see them, you will remember them. They will be back! Lintel joyously opened the night for us. What can I say about John and Carol Hoare. If you want to hear top-class songs, beautifully played, sung and expertly crafted, then Lintel are your go-to act. We were treated to some of John’s outstanding original songs, a rare but extremely welcome treat. Everything was presented and delivered with skill and confidence as you would expect from these seasoned entertainers. If you haven’t seen Lintel, get out there and track them down. It is most definitely worth it! MC Bryn, was in full control. I’m not sure what of, but he was in control of it.
