Tonight at the Woodman Folk Club, wasn’t OK, it wasn’t good either, it was totally AWESOME! Dan Walsh never ceases to astound his audiences with his totally unfettered, full-on, mind-blowing playing skills.

Astounded we were, but in the most enjoyable way. Dan is a great guitarist and singer who can excite and compel an audience to sing and clap along to his performances, but that’s just for openers. And then ……… Watch out, here comes the Banjo! Fully loaded with songs and tunes that will captivate and delight the audience. Can his fingers really move that fast? I don’t know, I can’t see them, it’s just a blur.

Astounding, amazing, stupendous, pick any one, they all fit. Dan’s Banjo playing is second to none. If you were there, you know what I mean, if you weren’t, you missed a rare treat.

Speaking of treats: Mega-thanks go out to our very-own, uber-talented Bryn Phillips. Once again, a varied smorgasbord of musical delights was presented to the masses, and once again they loved it. Bryn is such a talented songwriter, why not check out his website and see for yourself: [https://brynphillips.wixsite.com/brynphillips]

MC Chris, skilfully guided the evening through expertly negotiated sonic time zones and we all finished in the same room. Thanks also to the Techy-up and Techy-down teams, to Mr Gary and Mr John B for the photography and videography and to the wonderful Ashwood Marina staff and customers for looking after us all. Without every one of you, there would be no more Woodman Folk Club. Thank you all.

Enjoy Yourself!
