(Review taken from Derry & Deb's Facebook Post) Tonight was a delightful double-header, featuring, in the first half, the cunningly clever and fiendishly funny Mr Dave Love. When writing his fabulously funny material you get the impression that Dave looks at life through the lens of an alien nutty professor, but don’t think that humour is his only fortes. Dave has a wealth of excellent songs covering all sorts of subjects, all brilliantly written. What a songwriter, what an entertainer, what a star! The second half was equally entertaining and wonderfully quirky too.The Crag Band sang and played their hearts out and were just superb. The standard of musicianship was high, their repertoire was full of well-chosen songs and tunes and the overall presentation had an excellent balance of humour, nostalgia, and thoughtful contemplations. For a band celebrating their Thirtieth anniversary, they were remarkably fresh and jam-packed full of musical energy. Nice One Cragies! Massive thanks to MC Bryn, (Bryn Phillips), for doing yet another sterling job guiding us through the madness! As always, a great big Ta!
