Blimey!! Where did that month go then……?

In the blink of an eye November is upon us and once again we have a stunning new line up of guests for our delectation and delight – this time all of them making repeat appearances at the club and so we kick off with……..

…….Friday 6th is one of our legendary Singers’ Nights. Don’t be disappointed, these singers nights are normally over-subscribed so do please contact Debby or Derry on 01384 560462 to ensure you get a floor spot, we have a maximum of 14 slots. Alternatively just come and enjoy the talent on display. A great night is guaranteed!

On Friday the 13th (ooh..err), its most certainly NOT bad luck to be bringing back to the club Anthony John Clark & Friends. I’m sure we’ll give a warm welcome back to AJC who has a very soft spot for the club and who has been enchanting our audiences for many years now. A gifted guitarist, brilliant songwriter and generally nice guy, Anthony has chosen tonight to launch his new CD and we can be justifiably proud that the Woodman has got that coup! Who knows who the ‘friends’ will be - I could hazard a guess but let’s just wait and see ‘eh?

Then on the 20th we are delighted to present Ruth & Ken Powell. Two thirds of ‘Risky Business’ but also excellent as a duo, Ruth & Ken have played the Woodman twice before but that was a long time ago - too long! As well as being a masterful guitarist Ken is also a superb luthier and you can bet that tonight’s instruments will all be of his own construction. Ruth is just simply a brilliant vocalist and together they’ll put on a show that will leave you wanting more.

The 27th sees the return of the fabulous Brooks Williams. All the way from Statesboro, Georgia (but now, resident in the UK), this will be Brooks’ second visit to the club and having seen him on the last occasion I can tell you that you are in for a real treat. Brooks is a superb musician and an excellent singer/songwriter. He records on his own record label and, these days, seems more at home with blues and Americana styles. He has an enormous back catalogue of over 20 CD’s from his 25+ years of making music – why not take one home?

And finally……..get ready folks…..the Woodman Panto beckons, Cuz Christmas is just around the corner!!

Cheers,

Rob
