Hi Folks,

Once again we have four Fridays in March and they are promising to be some real crackers so get there early, get the drinks in and your favourite seat and prepare to be entertained!

On the 7th we have a real treat for the club in the shapes of Mick Ryan & Paul Downes.
Newcomers to the club, Mick has one of the most distinctive and powerful voices on the folk scene today and if you ever get the chance to see one of his many Folk-Operas, don’t miss it – they are magnificent. Paul is a fantastically gifted guitarist and singer with a superb pedigree having worked with Phil Beer, The Arizona Smoke Review and many more. Individually they are brilliant – together, even better!

The 14th brings us another newcomer but highly recommended, namely Rich McMahon. A local chap but with Celtic connections so expect a fair smattering of Irish flavoured songs, some his own and others borrowed from a wealth of other artistes within the genre. Should be a lively evening and definitely not one to be missed.

On the 21st, returning for his 394th visit to the Woodman, we have the inimitable, the sensational, the mind-blowingly phenomenal Mister Anthony John Clarke (insert round of applause here). At least I think that’s what he said,…….”AJ, ……..AJ ……..did I get that right AJ?” Seriously, he really is an excellent singer/songwriter and all round nice fella. You’ve all seen him before but he never fails to deliver a superb nights entertainment.

Finally on March 28th we have another Singers’ Night. Don’t be disappointed, the last singers night was massively over-subscribed so do please contact Debby or Derry on 01384 560462 to ensure you get a floor spot, we have a maximum of 14 slots. Alternatively just come and enjoy the talent on display. A great night is guaranteed!

That’s it for March so hope to see you there.

Cheers

Rob
