Hi Folks,

Yes! on the first Friday in October for less than the cost of a pint you can enjoy your favourite local artists. Friday 4th brings us a Singers’ Night – not only can you listen but, if you fancy performing just contact Debby on 01384 560462 to arrange a spot.

The next Friday, the 11th, we have the exciting husband and wife team Rob and Sarah Skinner in the shape of Red Dirt Skinners. With second place in the British Blues Awards 2013 and music that’s a little bit Country, a little bit folk-y, a little bit bluesy, and a little bit jazzy, we’re in for a real treat.

Then on the 18th we have a welcome return of the captivating sound of Joe O’Donnell’s Shkayla bringing together the spirit of Celtic tradition and the dynamic grooves of modern rock and jazz. It’s a unique and powerful sound that has evolved over time. Limerick-born Joe’s career has previously included work with former Steeleye Span members, Terry and Gay Woods, dynamic fiddle-driven rock band East.

Finally for October on the 25th a regular, Pete Kelly. A stalwart of the club and an excellent singer songwriter; we can look forward to some excellent singing, driving rhythms, and intricate guitar work. Pete will get the whole club rocking with a mixture of his original creations and maybe get us singing along with ‘Marrakech Express’ and ‘Love The One You’re With’.

In November we’ve got Clive Gregson and in December the pantomime.

Keep singing,

Pete
