Hi Folks,

As promised we have two brilliant guitarists this month.

Firstly on the 7th we have a feature night with Sunjay Brayne who has been coming to the club for some years. Each time his singing and playing has become more exacting and entertaining.

Secondly, the following week, the 14th, sees the welcome return of Clive Carroll. I’m sure the majority of the club needs no introduction to Clive who has made his annual pilgrimage for ten years now! Since then he has been in demand all over the world, so to get an international artist in ‘downtown’ Ashwood is a real treat.

Following Clive on the 21st is another great icon of the folk scene, Steve Tilston. He is the writer of the classic songs "The Slip Jigs and Reels", "The Naked Highwayman", and "Here's to Tom Paine" and I’m sure at least one of these will feature in his performance.

Finally, and by no means least, the brilliant songsmith Pete Morton is here on the 28th. Do you remember ‘The Two Brothers’, ‘The Busker’s Song’, The Post Office Queue’, and of course his most requested, ‘Another Train’. It will be a great night.

A big thank you must go to Ian for booking such a superb set of talented guys.

So, girls, it’s an all male line up for October, hope you’re interested! Sorry fellas if you wanted some female artists you’ll have to wait until next month.

Take care, keep singing,

Pete
