What a brilliant night at the Woodman Folk Club with the lovely Liz Simcock.
We unfortunately missed her first visit to the club, so glad we saw and heard her this time.

Liz is a singer/ songwriter who performs solo, also sometimes alongside Dave Ellis on guitar and Boo Howard on bass.

In November she will be touring at different venues with the great Clive Gregson, celebrating the Gregson & Collister back catalogue. What a treat that will be!!

Liz has an enviable, beautiful, expressive voice, performing with an entertaining, relaxed stage presence, lovely guitar work too!

Her songs are beautifully written, some humorous, some sad and thought provoking, all performed well, with a good variety to entertain the whole audience. It was a pity there was not a few more in the room ...... you missed a cracking night!

She has 4 cd's to date
Seven Sisters Road (2001) Vanishing Girl (2004) Beachcomber (2008) and her latest Friday Night Train Home (2013) all well worth listening to.

We wish Liz every success with her forthcoming gigs and tours, and will look forward to seeing her again at the Woodman Folk Club in the not too distance future!
